This article talks about how there are explicit cartoons, films, and books that have been cleared to use to teach sex education to schoolchildren as young as five. People are starting to exploit sex education to children at such a young age. They expose a wide range of graphic resources recommended for primary school lessons. How Did I Begin is a book by Mick Manning and Brita Granstrom, which has a cartoon image of a couple in bed in an intimate embrace; that is shown to young kids. All the material has been recommended to use at ages seven and up.

This article is about a debate over sex education. Young people face a lot of confusing messages. Along with explicit images from the media, some kids are told to “just say no” to sex. In school, others are taught how to put condoms on bananas in preparation for the real thing, and still other children receive no information whatsoever. More and more kids are becoming more sexually active at an earlier age. “Sixty-six percent of American high school students have had sex by their senior year.”

This article talks about that all children are going to have to learn about sex and relationships as part of their school curriculum. They wonder if all children should learn about the context of sex and relationships rather than just the biological mechanics of how babies are made. People believe more sex education will “encourage fornication.” Instead of learning how to have sex, five year olds will learn about healthy relationships, what to call body parts, and animals even have babies. At seven, they will be taught the mechanics.

This article says that sex education and lessons about the dangers of drugs and alcohol will become compulsory in primary and secondary schools to protect young people from pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and substance abuse. Jim Knight, the Schools Minister, explains that very young children will not be given sexually explicit lessons, but they will learn how to manage their feelings, learn about themselves, their differences, and their friendships. Between 8 and 11 they will be taught about the biological aspects of sex, and in secondary school, contraception and STIs will be taught.
